Trip Continued!

(after Day 2)

I missed writing in this journal for a few days, and some things have escaped my memory, but suffice to say that I had I spent wonderful quality time in San Francisco with Robyn.

What a bastard! I would forget my bloody head, only it is attached, somehow or other, to my neck! It seems I left my camera and my favourite jacket (coat) at David and Robyn's place! Bugger it! When I arrived at Houston, Songs and Clyde let me know that Robyn, being the ever efficient little lady she is, had already dispatched it to Barb's work place, via UPS. Bravo Robyn!

I was met at the J.W.Bush Aerodrome by Barbara and Clyde. Strueth! He sure is one big bastard! (Remember "bastard" tends to be a term of endearment to an Aussie). What a terrific bloke he turned out to be and Barbara is just wonderful! With hindsight (this being written some days hence), I have to say that they, too, are like family. How bloody lucky can a man be????

There were many, minor, adventures over the next couple of days, but I will skip right along to the get together held on Friday night. Clyde was unwell and stayed behind and only a small number were in attendance. Jorge, Nance and her bloke, Barbara and I made up the crew. Once again, I must say that I am fortunate that they are ALL people of whom I am proud to call friends, rather than mere acquaintances. A good night was had by all at the Cafe` De Zac (not the real name of the restaurant) and the food was as good as I have experienced anywhere! In Houston, should you ever visit, I commend you to enjoy a meal at Cafe Elegante.

Barbara sings at this place, at times and I am sure that we got "mates rates" as a result, however, having said that, I must say that the service and friendliness of this place is beyond excellent!

After a wonderful night out, we returned to my "home" in Houston!
